Launching July 22

Good Samaritan Education's new podcast series Communio Calling, sharing stories of faith and life in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition, will launch on July 22, 2021, marking its 10th anniversary.

Hi there, this is Gabrielle Sinclair from Good Samaritan Education, and I'm delighted to tell you about our new podcast series launching on July 22nd, Communio Calling. Our launch date is significant as it is the 10th anniversary of our establishment by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, and our first episode will share a bit of that journey of the becoming of Good Samaritan Education and its mission to carry forth the Ministry of Catholic Education in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition. For that we'll be joined by Terry Cray and Kay Hersey who helped shape our story. But first, a bit about our podcast's name, Communio Calling. We often talk about Good Samaritan Education being a community of communities. Communio is the web and fabric of this reality created by God in Christ in which we participate. The name Communio Calling draws upon this web of relationships and invites us to reflect on who we are as community and as members of that community, our connection and invitation to intimate participation. Communio is a way of being and connecting us to our Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition and to our baptismal call to live in communion. Basically, Communio brings together our desire for community and our connections within that community. It shapes who we are when we come together. So we'll be taking a deep dive into Communio in the upcoming episodes. So stay tuned.
